HIMCR # 86 "Use a Kit"

Happy Saturday!!!!

Today at HIMCR we are making a project using a kit, well you know that is up my alley after already having so much fun with my new Paper Made Bakery Kit!!!

I got inspired to do a scrapbooking layout with my oldest son Ryan, Ryan is a province away from me and I was missing him. He is majoring in Biology at UNB .. I couldn't be more proud.

Join us in this challenge by linking up here!!! We would be delighted to see you and make sure you tell the girls what an amazing job they did on their projects!!

Here is my project using Paper Made Bakery Kit.

I made all the flowers and rosettes from the crate paper from the kit, I then put Martha steward flock on them and embossing powder!!! It was something I never heard of but had to try, curisoty got the best of me and I love them! I used grey flock, gold and Pearlustre Carnelian embossing powder . There is a lot of embossing with these colors including around both base pages , chipboard pieces and letters.

I added pieces of flourishes  and lace  to the base and painted it with snow white acrylic pain... I did not try to be neat about it which is the effect I was going for.

I splashed Tim Holtz ink  on the base in certain areas and used my foam brush to make marks on them using the straight edge of the brush, I also loved how this turned out!

He is certainly One Of A Kind!!

Have a terrific day and I hope to see you at HIMCR!!!

Easter Card "Hoppin Easter" using San's Design's

Happy Friday!!!!

Can you believe the weekend is here already! I am excited because I plan on taking Michael out to make that snowman that didn't work out last time, lol If you have been following my post you know what I mean, hehe!

Today I am super excited to share a card that I made with San's Designs digital stamps but first let me introduce you to

San! (Susanne Nyman)
San is thirty something as written in her bio, hahahaha... (I laughed when I read that). She has a 3 year old son and a hubby, she is from Nyköping, Sweden and loves to create a whole array of digital designs ranging from elegant, fun to just plain cute!

Visit San's Blog HERE
Visit San's store HERE

I have had the pleasure scoping out San's Store and I bought "Flower Bunny"!! Here is the card I made with this adorable digital.

Eeek! isn't he adorable!!!!  I am so in love with his big ears and feet and those flowers are gorgeous!!
I printed "flower bunny" out on blue swiss dot, Paper Made Bakery pattern paper and white cardstock. I then paper pierce this image with the exception of the rock walkway and flowers which I used Spectrum Noir alcohol pens!

I added white acrylic paint and glossy accents to her cheeks and to the flowers.. I love how her bow turned out!

This is a side on view to show off the glossy accents on the flowers

I came upon San Designs about 3 weeks ago and completely fell in love with her blog and store and had noticed she was having a DT call!
SOOOOOOO!!!
I have decided to apply! (Cross all your fingers and toes for me ok??)

What I LOVE is San knows what she wants and you can get that just from reading the directions of applying for her team.  I sense San's strong leadership and believe she  wouldn't take her members for granted seeing she clearly states that this is something she doesn't want.  We all have been part of design teams but do you get out of them what you had expected such as continual communication, support from team members?? I believe San's team will be led to do just that! I really want to be part of this team to help support San's digital designs, after all I do know what that is about being a digital artist and all! I want all of you to come to know San and to make your magic happen with her beautiful creations. (Show her what your made off! (That is something I tell Michael every morning when he leaves for school, show them what your made off, go gettem tiger! hehe!,are you crossing your fingers yet?!!)

 How I made this card:

(This card is bigger than I usually make for I want to make a box for it.)

Cut card at  7" by 11"

For the background I used a 6"by 6" pattern paper from Paper Made Bakery's 6" by 6" paper pad then used my corner punch to cut all four corners of both the card base and background.

Cut a strip of pattern paper 1.5 " by 6" , this will be the strip you see behind the lg. scalloped square.
Now just add the rest of the embellies in the product list !

Free Digital ( Look at Me!, Lolly) Cute cartoon dog

Happy Tuesday!

As always to show you my appreciation for visiting my blog and supporting my online store I am giving away a free digital stamp!!

This week I am giving away "Look at me" Lolly!

This digital stamp is different from most that I give away due to how he will be used on your card!!

Lolly is mean't to be cut out ( I rounded the edges as best as I could to make it an easy cut) and placed on your card so that a part of his paws hang outside the frame or matting...see second image to understand.
He looks to be in the circle with his paws outside  similar to someone half way out of an open window??? LOL   ( Hard to explain!)

The first image has a straight vertical mark showing you where to place him along the square or rectangle frame and he is mean't to be placed on the right side unless you have an editing program...then you can reflect him.

Click below to go to my online store in the freebies section to get Lolly and remember to right click and save:

The image below is not mean't for download but to use as an example for how to use Lolly but if you want this image you can buy him HERE!

*Note - you can only find "Look at Me" Lolly if you follow the links I have provided here AND if you use Mozilla Firefox. Google is taking several days to index images.

Have a fantastic day!!!!

We'll weather it together

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, I got to go ski-doo riding across Prince Edward Island and found it exhilarating! We had the perfect day for it, the sun was out and it made the snow glisten and trees looked spectacular!

Today I am showing you a card I made from my new kit that I bought from

Here is what the kit looks like and I had so much fun with it! My introduction to this kit was from the amazingly talented Julie over at

Julie is now part of their amazing design team and she has been an  inspiration and my biggest supporter since I started blogging, oh yes she watched me blossom, lol

Through Fresh Baked Bakery I found my favorite stamp store EVER!!!!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps
I will be facing more challenges other than making cards, this is going to be a huge test of keeping myself below my monthly budget for crafting because I am crazy about these stamps and already feel I have no control... I think I can , I think I can... hehe!

I added their button to my sidebar if you would like to hop on over to see what they have... here are the ones I bought so far!!!

Here is my card!!! Everything is from the We'll Weather it Together Kit except the fairy stamp that was given to me by the lovely Christina over at Flowers Ribbon's and Pearls. Christina just opened her new shop and is selling Homemade Blending Tools and her stunning hat pins!!! I have the Blending tools and they are amazing, they also come with felt..to learn more about these visit Christina by clicking the link above!!!

I stamped the umbrella unto 4 different pieces of patterened paper and cut sections out to piece it together. I inked the edges with Antique blue ink along with stamping the raindrops. The ribbon like paper under the button is just two strips of paper crumpled and inked and cut banner style!!

Share my excitement, isn't these stamps the cat's meow!!!!!

Have a terrific Day!!!!
(I did this post on 2 hours sleep, poor Mikey was up all night with a tooth ache, the x-ray shows that he has a tooth underneath pushing it's way up, the upper tooth is not even loose yet so there must be a lot of pressure. We had lots of cuddling and he is much better this morning.)
