Happy Saturday!!!

Thanks for visiting, we hope you join our challenge over at HIMCR this week, we are using digital stamps from

Sweet n Sassy also has challenges, check out their blog here

I was given "Your're too tweet" digital stamp to work with and here is what I came up with. I thought it would make a perfect Easter card!!!!

I embossed the cloud with kassie's Brocade embossing folder and printed this sweet digital stamp out on two different patterened paper then paper pierced it! I used scalloped scissors to cut around the sentiment. I used lace ribbon by recollections and yellow ribbon in my stash.

Hope you join us this week!!!

It's a long weekend for us here on the Island, Michael is thrilled..Monday's holiday is "Family Day", how bout that!

Happy Birthday Round Card

Happy Friday!!
Thanks for visiting, you have to know it makes my day!

There are so many birthdays coming up in Troy's family in March so I thought I would get a head start... yeah, believe that!!! ( being the procrastinator that I am, hehe)

I made the base and scalloped layers using  "Birthday Bash" Cricut cartridge...Card/Tag on pg. 43 .. I decreased the size each time , I started at 5 1/2 "

I inked the edges of the 3rd 4th and base layer with "pineneedles" Tim Holtz's distress ink and the 2nd layer with "Verdigris" Antiquities by Ranger and layerd them. (centered)

The stamp is a cling on stamp by Recollections, I colored it using Specturm Noir Pens.

The Sentiment is an old stamp, I inked the 2 scalloped layers behind it with "Red Brick" distress ink and "weather wood", both by Tim Holtz Ranger.
The leaves are from Spellbinders, the floral embellishments are from Recollections and finally the ribbon is from my stash.

Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!/Paper Bag Purse ( My creation!!)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!,
thank you for visiting.

This is a very heavy post:

First I have a card to show you that was inspired by an image Lisa posted over at
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles,

for Motivational Monday's every Monday. Lisa has just started Pinterest inpiration that will take place once a month on Motivational Monday's!

Here is the image

Here is what I came up with , this card is for Troy and you all know what I think of him! Beautiful!

I would like to mention that I have upgraded the "add to cart" button in my digital store and I am very happy to say that I got my first purchase last night!!! It helps when everything works! LOL You can now pay with Paypal and Google.

I am really excited to share my very own creation with  you!! I warn you I am in quite a silly mood.
I was playing with a paper bag and said "self, this looks like a wallet or purse!" I raced to the craft room , tripped and near killed myself and never took notice of the bruise on my leg until that night, a whopping one with that!
(Hi , my name is Naomi Edwards and I am a craftaholic and can exaggerate)

So I started off taking measurements so I can do a tutorial for you!!!

First, here is my project

Measurements

To understand the measurements here is a crash course: if you are a beginner you will benefit from this.

I don't know if all score boards are measured the same, I have the Martha Stewart version ,
Each notch is 1/8"  and it is also measured in inches.

As an example to help you understand   I scored at 5 5/8" (in the image below)
This means I counted up 5 notches from 5 " which is just a notch past 5 1/2 "mark.
To help understand a little further
Just remember that 4/8ths is half and inch
and
8/8ths is an inch

So onto the tutorial!

Paper bag size: 10 6/8" by 5 2/8"

Score @ 5 5/8" and  7" widthwise

Flip base of bag over as shown in photo below and score @
1 1/2 "

Cover both sides with your choice of paper

 4 (pieces) @ 3 7/8" by 5 2/8"
2 @ 1 3/8" by 5 2/8"
2 @ 3/8" by 5 2/8 "
2 @ 1 5/8 " by 5 2/8"
2 @ 1/2" by 5 2/8"

Now that the measurments are out of the way you will now fold the paper bag on the score lines using a bone folder. Enlarge image to read text.

To make the handles I used black pipe cleaners and clear beads..so easy!!!
To mount it on the purse I cut
4 @ 1/2" squares
Put handles in place using repositional dots to help keep in place as I mounted each 1/2" square over each end using Tacky Glue.

Voila!!! Now all you have to do is pretty it up with some pattern paper and embellishments!!!!!

I hope this tutorial is easy to follow, if you have any questions I would be happy to answer.

Have a super day!!!

You hold the key to my heart "Scrapbooking Layout"

Happy Wednesday!!!!

I thought I would change things up a bit and do a scrapbooking layout. What's unique about my layout is I converted it into a wall hanging by using cork board as a base and hung it my craftroom.

I choose pictures with lots of green showcasing nature to compliment the background paper. These are random pictures on different occasions where Michael and I were enjoying a bright sunny day...so refreshing when everything has been white for so long don't you agree?

Click on image to view the sparkly details.

I created my flowers with random prima flowers I had in my stash and used cotton balls as a base...
  • I took the cotton ball and spread it out in one direction, tore it at the center and made an "X" and placed underneathe flower.
  • I used Spellbinders Scalloped Squares and Rectangles for the picture's of myself and Michael, I used the negative for the stream scene.

  •

  • I used Pearlizing Medium on my flowers and random spots throughout the layout, if it is shiny then it is pearlized!
  • I used my "Big Bite Crop a Dile" punch to make holes through the layout and cork board then simple added string and hung it on my wall. (I love "easy!")

  •
I love Michael's half grin in this picture and his Big Nate hair, hehe!!

I used tim holtz black distress ink for the title, the title is a wooden stamp I bought for only a buck fifty at Michael'store.

    Have a fantastic day!!!!!

    Free Digital "Boy Building Snowman"

    Welcome!!!

It is time for another free digital!!!
Michael and I got bundled up and decided to build a snowman yesterday but the snow was too hard and no stick whatsoever so we built a cave instead. I would love to say that Michael was facinated to be out playing in the snow but he simply wanted nothing to do with it, hahahaha  (guess who did all the work?)..so my plan to take pictures to go along with this digital failed miserably for Michael was off the first chance he got and went inside.

To get your free digital go to my online store
Remember to right click on Image and save as:

I would like to thank Lisa over at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, my dear friend for taking the time to make me a watermark for my digitals...you all know how bad I needed one! Mini Album cont....

    Hi!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! We still have the cold bug and strangely it goes away for a couple of days and suddenly it is back again... huh? I can't wrap my head around this one but on the bright side we are cheery and happy, we take advantage when we are sick to get all those extra cuddles in.

On a total different note I am super excited to share the next two pages in my "Love" album, if you remember this is my Valentine's gift to myself, hehe!

Here is the cover page if you missed it:

And two more pages I have managed to complete,  it is only a small album so I hope to get the other 5 pages done before Valentine's Day...eeek!

These pages were done for Troy, for those of you who don't know Troy is my partner in crime, just kidding... he is the most calm, patient adorable man on the face of this planet and I am proud to call him my best friend.

Hopefully I will be showing you the rest of the album this week!!
    Have a super day
    Hugs
