Glitter Galore!

If you are here for the $25 Michael's Gift Card Giveaway click here.

What a stormy day here in Prince Edward Island!! It sure makes us appreciate the good days...well the electricity could go any moment so if you get to see this post you know it's hangin on.

Today I want to share a couple of things, one a card that I made with lots of Glitter using Stickles by Tim Holtz and a layout I did before I even heard of scrapbooking. In this layout I cut pieces from magazines to create a living room. I cut out images of my boys and placed them in the layout. All I used was paper, scissors and glue so even if you are just a beginner don't think you need a lot to start with!

Enjoy

This layout was created by cutting out pictures in a magazine and placing them to create a living room, also I cut out pictures of my boys and placed them trying to achieve perspective. Not bad hey, except the cat may be too big, hehe.

And I thought to add a picture of my little fella (Michael) , we had just spent 2 hours outside and we both worked up a sweat...here is just being silly , he does it to make me laugh..and I did. Isn't he adorable?

Until next time!

"Missing you today" Tag Card

Hello all my bloggy buddies!

Today I am excited to share with you a Tag Card that I made! I was so inspired by Christina's video (my wonderfully talented friend over at www.flowersribbonsandpearls.blogspot.com  that I just had to try one for myself. I love love the way my card turned out but I could only hope to be as good as Christina some day... check out her video here!  When you visit Christina's website (not blog),  you are ventureing into a never ending world of unbelievable talent... you will not know where to start and seriously could spend months there and always find something new. Check her out, you will not be disappointed! Just click the word "here" above to go to her site.

Now onto my project for today called "Missing you today Tag Card"
Why tag card you ask??? Because you first make a tag then place it on a card...simple enough right?

Enjoy and be inspired.

To make this card I first made a tag decorated with homemade organza flowers,  gold organza ribbon  (wide enough to cover the whole tag) , old pearl necklace , Laugh/Dream cutout and a fake gold heart filled with gems that I  had in my stash. I did the background of the card with mulberry paper (loveeee it!!) and the sentiment I embossed with Gold embossing Powder. I added cutzie little butterflies which I punched out using Gold Mirror card.

Don't forget to click the link up top if you would like a chance to win a $25 Michael's Gift Card! It is above the post in brown text.

I used Kristal Andrews Hoot Owl Stamps for the sentiment both on the inside and out, on the inside it says Happy Bird-day, hehe, I love it. I experimented with colors I normally wouldn't dare use together and to my surprise I am very happy with the results, it is good to go outside of our comfort zone!
